Why do I get bubbles when my nailpolish dries?

Bubbles in Your Nail Polish?

Ever wonder why your nail polish bubbles after your nails dry? This is usually caused by shaking the bottle versus rolling the bottle in between your palms. Shaking the bottle actually causes bubbles in the color! Also, make sure you are using thin coats of polish versus thick coats and wait a few minutes between base coat, color, and top coat for best results.

I did not shake the polish and I let it dry over 30 minutes before applying a second coat and it still left bubbles in some of the nails that I polished. I am more apt to believe that the coats were too thick.
