January 12, 2007, Newsletter Issue #26: Breaking the Biting Habit

Tip of the Week

Do you bite your nails? It's a nasty habit for many people, but according to OPI nail technicians, there is a 90 percent success rate of stopping with artificial nail applications. There are two reasons for this: you're less likely to ruin your nails if you've spent a lot of money getting them done, and nail biters are usually excited about having beautiful hands and nails. If you have artificial nails, every two weeks your nail technician will fill in bare area near where the natural nail has grown and where the artificial nail or tip is attached. Artificial nail applications should be maintained every two weeks to avoid moisture and bacteria from building up inside the nail.
